Freelancing has exploded over the past few years f Freelancing has exploded over the past few years for several people, especially moms. This flexible career has the earning potential beyond what most corporate positions offer and even more appealing, it allows moms to work around their kids schedules rather than the other way around.

On Wednesday, I shared an example of a freelancing schedule you might have while still juggling your 9-5. Today I want to share what your schedule might look like once you ditch your 9-5, but you kids to work around.

If you are a freelancer or considering freelancing and wondering how your day would look with kids in the picture, be sure to save this post for later.

With this schedule, you are still able to fit in 7 hours of work a day. At $30/hr that's $1,050/week or $4,200 a month.

With both the schedule I shared Wednesday and the one I am sharing right now, you can always adjust as needed. Maybe you don’t want to work Friday’s…then don’t! Or maybe waking up that early doesn’t work for you…that’s okay.

The point of both schedules is for you to know that anything is possible in this space and you are the one in the driver seat.

Be sure to save this post for later and share with a friend who might be considering a way out of their 9-5!

“But Aubree, I don’t have time!” This is a V “But Aubree, I don’t have time!” This is a VERY common DM I get on the weekly about starting a freelancing business.

So if you just read that statement and you’re like, yup me neither, please know you’re not alone!

When you first discover freelancing, you probably start to think to yourself that this is way too good to be true. You think to yourself… “So I get to leave my 9-5, working half the amount of hours, making the same amount of money, all while being there for my kids. NO WAY!”

Yup, most people doubt it in the beginning…I know I sure did. And one of the biggest reasons I didn’t take the plunge at first is because I didn’t think I had the time.

But if you look at the schedule above, you will notice that you are able to fit in about 5 hours a day/25 hours a week on your freelancing biz all while still maintaining your 9-5 and NOT jeopardizing your family time.

If you charged $30/hr, that means you could be making $750/week or 3k a month on top of your 9-5!!

And once you have a nice little nest egg built up of $$$, you can walk away from your 9-5 if that is something you are working toward.

The potential is there if you are just willing to make some tweaks here and there.

On Friday, I’ll be sharing what a mock schedule can look like when you leave your 9-5 but still have kids at home with you so be sure to come back in two days!
